Registration and Application Information

All workshops have limited space. Since our classes are small, 12 to 15 students, they fill up fast. We recommend registering early.

Deposits and Payments
You can reserve a place in one of our workshops by paying a 50% deposit. The balance in full must then be paid one month prior to the start of the workshop. Please make all payments in US dollars. Payments can be made by check, bank deposit, pay-pal, or wire transfer (however, there is a $10 processing fee on wire transfers).

Fees
Workshop fees cover tuition only. Meals, lodging and airfare are not included.

Withdrawal, Workshop Cancellation and Refunds
If you need to withdraw from the workshop, it is best to inform us immediately. Due to the expenses incurred by a class for us, we can only offer a refund if you cancel within 30 days of registering. We will refund your deposit minus a $75 administrative fee. After this time the deposit can not be refunded.

If it is necessary for us to cancel a workshop, all registered participants will be notified at once, and you will receive a full refund of deposits and fees.

Notification of cancellation due to low enrollment will be made at least 14 days prior to the beginning of class. For this reason we encourage you to purchase refundable airline tickets and consider purchasing trip cancellation insurance. The workshop will not be responsible for any loss on airline tickets or any other losses due to cancellation.

Discounts
Discounts are available for those coming in a group or with a school. Please contact us for more information.

Waiver of Liability
La Luz Talleres shall have no responsibility or liability for personal injury to any participant or damage to any participant's property, or for personal injuries or damage to the property of any other person resulting from the participant's involvement in the workshop.

La Luz Talleres has the right to cancel any workshop and to alter the time, context, or format of any workshop as circumstances require. In the event of a workshop being cancelled for any reason, the extent of La Luz Talleres’ liability is limited to the return of all fees and deposits paid.

Workshops are hosted in various cultural institutions around Oaxaca, depending on the needs of the course and the desires of the teacher. Most workshops are held in San Agustin Etla at the home base of La Luz Talleres. It is a beautiful setting to enjoy all day long. In some cases workshops involve travelling and participants will travel with the instructor to various locations as a part of that class.

Participants will receive our Welcome Packet, when they arrive, with tourist information on the city of Oaxaca and including a list of restaurants. Workshop participants in San Agustin will be able to find high quality tasty meals from $5 to 7 USD.
